National Honor Society
Advisers: Lana McFather and Heather Worsley
The National Honor Society (NHS) is the nation's premier organization established to recognize outstanding high school students. More than just an honor roll, NHS serves to recognize those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, service, leadership, and character. These characteristics have been associated with membership in the organization since its beginning in 1921.
The PCA Panther chapter of the Honor Society is the only service organization at school in which students must be accepted. We focus on the four pillars: scholarship, leadership, service, and character. In order to participate, students must have all of these characteristics that indicate the emphasis on excellence as we represent our school and community. Throughout the year, members of our chapter will serve as role models for other students. In addition to strong academics, members must become active community leaders through volunteering and service.
